GreenTransfo™ Energy Turkey is the production facility in Turkey of GreenTransfo™ SAS, which was established in 2023 as a subsidiary of Groupe Cahors Holding. The company operates in the production and distribution of various transformers within environmentally friendly production processes, in line with its sustainability mission.

Case Subject: The document delivered to us by GreenTransfo™ and requested to be translated from Turkish to English was a manual that could be evaluated within the scope of labor law.

Case Process: After we received the source text, the document was meticulously reviewed, and as a result of this evaluation, it was decided that the project was feasible for implementation. The customer approved the project budget and the delivery time proposal we had presented to them. Then, our project manager assigned the document to our translator working in the relevant field in line with customer expectations and project needs.

The translation process was conducted taking into account critical aspects such as the target audience and the intended purpose of the text, while maintaining the functionality of the text by translating in accordance with the instructions. A number of challenges were encountered throughout the process:

Legal language & Terminology Our translator created an up-to-date terminology list to ensure consistency throughout the text, updated the list continually, and maintained their commitment to the subject matter terminology. Parallel text searches from reliable sources were conducted to ensure that the equivalents of certain language structures and abbreviations were translated appropriately in both the legal field and the context of the subject matter.

Punctuation: The document that was being translated was a text containing a lengthy list and tables. Our translator adhered to the target language’s national standards (Guidelines of NISO for Alphabetical Arrangement of Letters and Sorting of Numerals and Other Symbols) regarding punctuation marks.

Spelling Errors: Our translator also remained in contact with the project manager throughout the process, took notes if necessary to inform the customer of the spelling errors that had been spotted in the source text, and conveyed these to the project manager.

After the completion of the translation process, the document was handed over to the relevant project manager to go through the editing and quality control stages. The document, after undergoing final checks, was presented to the customer in a format suitable for the purchased translation service, and it was delivered to the other party within the promised delivery time.

All these processes were carried out in accordance with the ISO 17100 Translation Services Standard.
